Braised Beef with Beer

Ingredients:

  • 300g beef
  • 50g carrot
  • 25g onion
  • 5 slices ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 8 tablespoons beer
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Preparation: (5 min)

  • Cut carrot in halves lengthwise and cut each half in 1/2-inch-thick diagonal slices
  • Cut onion and garlic into thick slices
  • Cube beef

Instruction: (35 min)

  • Put beef in boiling water and cook for 1 min
  • Remove and wash clean
  • Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil until hot
  • Add ginger, garlic, onion and stir-fry until fragrant
  • Add tomato sauce, beef, soy sauce, sugar, beef and bring to a boil
  • Add carrot, pepper powder, salt and cover tightly
  • Simmer for 30 min and serve
