Poached Sliced Pork in Hot Chili Oil

Poached Sliced Pork in Hot Chili Oil

Feature: numbing, spicy & fragrant
Serves 1 to 2 and ready in 15-20 min

Ingredients:

  • 200g pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lettuce
  • 3 stalks spring onion
  • 5 slices of ginger
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Szechuan pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 15 dried red chili peppers
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Szechuan hot bean sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation: (5 min)

  • Cut pork into thin slices
  • Slice garlic, mince dried red chili peppers and spring onion
  • Marinate pork in egg white and 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

Instruction: (10-15 min)

  • Heat 3 tablespoons vegetable oil until hot
  • Add dried red chili peppers, Szechuan pepper, Szechuan hot bean sauce, garlic, ginger and stir-fry until aromatic
  • Fill wok with 3-4 tablespoons water and add 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Cook wok content until boiling
  • Slide in pork and cook through
  • Add lettuce and stir
  • Sprinkle salt, spring onion and serve
