Stewed Mutton with Radish

Serves 1 to 2 and ready in 55-65 min

Ingredients

  • 400g mutton
  • 100g radish
  • 10g cinnamon bark
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 stalk spring onion
  • 5 slices ginger
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Preparation (15 min)

  • Cube mutton and soak in cool water for 15 minutes
  • Cut radish into medium chunks
  • Slice garlic
  • Cut spring onion into sections

 

Instruction (40-50 min)

  • Cook mutton in boiling water for 10 minutes
  • Remove, rinse and drain
  • Place mutton in a pot and fill with 4 cups water
  • Add cinnamon bark and bring to a boil over high heat
  • Skim off foam
  • Cover tightly, reduce heat to simmer and cook for half an hour
  • Add radish, ginger, spring onion, rice wine and salt
  • Cook until radish is tender and serve
